THE MARKET

TRACTO is the designer and innovator for Advanced Trenchless development. In order to fill this role even more strongly, both nationally and internationally, TRACTO has established a central department which will focus even more intensively on the tasks of ”Trenchless Development“ in the future. Responsible for these tasks are Stefan Schmitz for Germany, Austria and Switzerland (D-A-CH) and Thorsten Schulte for the rest of the world (ROW). They are using their expertise to educate the public and decision-makers in civil engineering projects about the advantages of NODIG, as well as to demonstrate the ecological and economical benefits of trenchless drilling technology for

network operators, utilities, planners, municipalities and associations. In doing so, the trenchless experts primarily want more and more important pipeline construction projects to be carried out and put out to tender without trenching in the future. The experts Schmitz and Schulte are involved in various national and international committees in order to actively shape standards and regulations worldwide, as well as to demonstrate the added value of trenchless technology with regard to resource conservation for the important trend topics of smart city, fibre optic expansion and pipe renewal, highlighting it as an alternative to the classic construction method.
