KNOW-HOW FROM
DOWN UNDER
Australia is a world of its own on the other side of the globe for us. In the infinite vastness of the country, wich is larger than Europe, many contrasts meet.
The megacities on the coasts and the remoteness of the outback. Tropical rainforests in the north and the Australian mountains in the south. The continent's geology is as diverse as its landscape. This is why trenchless construction is also a good alternative to open trench construction in Australia. TRACTO has been successfully offering trenchless equipment on the Australian market since 2001, because environmental protection and resource conservation are also important issues there. However, TRACTO Australia is far more than just a sales base. Local customers particularly appreciate the high service levels and local proximity of our colleagues down under. In order to further expand the product portfolio and service, the sister recently moved into a new, larger building in Luscombe QLD.
Customers talk directly to the manufacturer
The TRACTO staff around Jeffrey Rose, Managing Director of the sister company, have built up a strong and constantly growing customer base and enjoy a very good reputation in all of Australia, which is also due to Jeff‘s know-how. His roots are in mining, so he knows the geology of his home country inside out. As a mechanical engineer, he understands the technology down to the smallest detail and is able to pass on his knowledge to customers. Jeff is supported by a team of six, who know the customers‘ wishes and bring trenchless technology to the fore, In doing so, the colleagues Down Under make use of the experience of a globally active company. “We have built up a global network with our sisters in England, France, Africa and the USA”, says Jeff. Despite this global reach, TRACTO Australia attaches great importance to meeting the specific requirements of the domestic market. Users of the trenchless equipment in particular benefit from this, as does the parent company in Germany.
Daniel Toms, Sales Manager responsible for customer and partner relations, says: “It is a major advantage for us to talk to our customers as the manufacturer of the machines and not as a dealer. Because This way the expertise of the users can be incorporated directly into the development of new products.” Like with the Australian contractor R+R McClure, who is not only a big fan of the TRACTO machines product range but can also contribute ideas to the new drilling rigs as a development partner.
Valuable support
That way, the TRACTO colleagues in Australia are contributing to the improvement of our machines, because different geologies present challenges that may not exist in this country. Passing on the feedback from customers and partners to the developers and designers in Germany helps significantly to further improve the TRACTO machines. Users worldwide ultimately benefit from these developments in the form of reliable machines with a high return on investment. A great example of a global innovation cycle, don't you think?
